Renaissance International School Saigon is a learning-focused school, committed to achieving the highest success for its students.

Renaissance International School Saigon was established in 2007 and opened by HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in the presence of guests representing government, industry and the corporate sector of Vietnam. The school is located on a 10,000 square metre area of land in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The establishment of the school was the collective vision of two families committed to quality education in Vietnam.

Ms Vuong Bui Linh, Mr Tran Kim Thanh, Mr Nguyen Tuyen and Ms Nguyen Thuy Quynh wanted to establish an international school in District 7 that offered a British and international curriculum for Vietnamese and international families. Their vision, planning, and commitment to quality education have enabled to school to develop into one of the leading schools in Saigon. Renaissance students have access to outstanding educational, sporting and recreational facilities, and the school is at the cutting edge in terms of classroom technology.

The school opened with 70 students in 2007 and has since grown to over 500 students from the ages of 2 to 18.

The year 2011 was an exciting year for the school with the first graduating class completing the IB Diploma and gaining admission to universities in North America, Europe, South East Asia and Australia. The 2011 graduating class achieved the highest IB results of all schools in Vietnam – an outstanding achievement for one of the newest schools in the country.

The name of the school reflects the school philosophy in that Renaissance literally means rebirth or revival. Our school name symbolises a rebirth of interest in and commitment to quality education and a new start to life-long learning. There are many international schooling options available in Ho Chi Minh City such is the intensity of the competition. Renaissance is committed to being the leading international school in the city and to that end will ensure that all resources and staffing are completely focused on producing outstanding learning outcomes for the students.

Korean Liaison officer is responsible for the following tasks to support Admissions & Communications team:
• To meet and exceed Korean students recruitment targets, both for the school and for the summer course, ensuring that Korean parents fully understand the USPs and strengths of the school;
• To welcome, advice, and conduct tours with prospective Korean parents, persuading them to join the school, and answering their enquiries timely and accurately;
• To schedule testing and interviews for Korean applicants, and to translate in the interview if required, as well as to assist prospective parents with completing their paperwork where parents can’t speak English;
• To monitor perceptions and preferences of prospective and current Korean parents, identifying any shifts in their perceptions of the school and the school’s competitors, and notifying Director of Admissions & Communication about these shifts without delay;
• To work closely with the school’s Marketing & Communication team to promote the school to Korean parents, recommending effective promotional channels and helping to produce well-targeted content tailored to the needs of Korean parents;
• To proactively reach out to Korean community by attending key events and maintain good relationships with key influencers in the community, to ensure that the school has a good reputation amongst Korean parents;
• To liaise with leading Korean universities and build strong relationships with them, arranging regular visits to the schools, and an effective collaboration on admission of the school’s alumni to these universities;
• To translate for Korean parents who don’t speak English during parent meetings, events, interviews, and on other appropriate occasions where prospective and current parents may require language support;
• To identify which schools Korean parents perceive as equivalent to Renaissance (e.g. competitor schools) and to monitor their activity, informing Director of Admissions & Communications on any changes in their offering;
• To follow all Admissions policies and procedures of the school, and process all related paperwork as agreed with Admissions Manager.
• Perform Other Related Duties as Required

Job Requirements
• Experience: At least 2 years’ experience of working in a customer service or sales role dealing with Korean clients.
• Bachelor degree (Preferred: Management, Marketing, or Customer Service/Hospitality)
• Good command in English and Korean. Experience in translation to/from Korean is desirable
• Confident IT user (Microsoft Office package)
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional personal presentation
